Thanks Dog
http://www.target.com/
We had some fun at the checkout, my Wife explains it in a bit more detail, in her blog post here:

This morning I have not had that 'Friday Feeling' yet. 4am the dog decides to jump onto the bed, making noises as she wanted to go outside. Great. It'll be the same tomorrow too. Why can't dogs do lie-ins.
5am the alarm goes off and I find the dog is back on the bed, but on my side. I'm 6foot and my legs are curled up nearly up to my chest. I want to move her off the bed, but she has a secret weapon.
Her cuteness. Instead of shoe-ing her off the bed, I had to make a fuss of her. Reward her for her deviousness. Damn!
Tomorrow morning Vicky and I have will have the house to ourselves as Mom and aunt are going into Washington in the morning!!

Should I be thanking Warren Barton?
I have kept track of how I've viewed each Newcastle game this season, either online or the television.
I consider myself very lucky. Out of the eight games so far this season, I have seen four live. Three of the four missed, I was at work at the time. The text commentry on the BBC site, Twitter, and texts from my Dad have allowed me to follow the missing ones. The one remaining, the Blackburn game, was only shown online, I could have watched it, but our internet was down for a few days. Thankfully restored!
The next three games, Wolves, Spurs and Wigan are all on normal telly (Fox Soccer Channel).
Warren Barton helps host a show on the channel before and after the games. Maybe he is a good influence in the studio? Last year, most Newcastle games were on Fox Soccer Plus, a channel we do not have on our cable.
Manchester and Arsenal are not always chosen as the Saturday 3pm live game, which surprises me!
All of this wonderful football comes with a price. The first two home games, against Arsenal and Fulham were really hard to watch, especially at the start when the camera's were in the crowd. I was thinking I should be there!
Success!
I will post pictures when it arrives

Jumping on the bandwagon?
They originally came out at several hundred dollars, and now they are $99/$150 depending on the model.
Why do I need another piece of kit? A few reasons, certainly one being that I just want to have the latest thing. Another reason is the convenience of the item. It is larger then a phone, but more portable then a computer. You can use it to surf the internet. This model also has Skpe built in. If I want to see family or friends at the moment, I need to be on my hulk of a laptop, or squint at them on my cell phone. Even though HP are ditching this product, there are still many programs available for it. I can send and receive emails through it, and even write on it to.
There is no guarantee my Wife will be able to buy one, HP have a limit on one pad per employee, but, there is no harm in trying.

New Blog!
I don't think I'm being vain, I just hope this is an avenue to interact with people back home, other than facebook. Maybe it will encourage people to leave little updates as to what they are getting up to.
Saturday:
Vicky and I saw Killer Elite, I previously spoke about it on my previous blog, http://geordieintheusa.tumblr.com/ we enjoyed it. Sunday Vicky and I went back to Throx Country Store for more beer. Vicky bought more Pumkin ale, which she loves, but we were unable to buy the same make as before, this time :-(
My Mother in Law, loves Fox's and there are a lot of trinkets and pictures dotted around the house. I bought the bottle on the right for her as a present, as I liked the label.
