New Blog!

I started to use the website Tumblr.com as I found their blogging software very easy, and I liked the version available on my cell phone.  But, I found it too basic for my liking.  From now on, I'm going to be using this site for my blog.  The main reason, it allows comments to be posted by people not registered to the site.  To leave a comment on my tumblr blog, you had to be registered with Tumblr, etc.

I don't think I'm being vain, I just hope this is an avenue to interact with people back home, other than facebook.  Maybe it will encourage people to leave little updates as to what they are getting up to.

Saturday:

Vicky and I saw Killer Elite, I previously spoke about it on my previous blog, http://geordieintheusa.tumblr.com/  we enjoyed it.  Sunday Vicky and I went back to Throx Country Store for more beer.  Vicky bought more Pumkin ale, which she loves, but we were unable to buy the same make as before, this time :-(

My Mother in Law, loves Fox's and there are a lot of trinkets and pictures dotted around the house.  I bought the bottle on the right for her as a present, as I liked the label.

  1. When selecting bottles for a 'Grandads selection box' Was well chuffed to find Mordue in bottles on sale in my local Morrisons.

I should point out that as my dad can't have the usuall choccies etc for things like birthdays, presents tend to include a grandad selection box which consists of several bottles of beer individually wrapped to be opened when he fancies a bottle. A suprise every time :)

  2. You should start writing reviews on each one you try. I am going to start and look to see if we can get any of them over here to try. ;)

  3. I would die if I ever saw Mordue here! I was amazed to find the limited edition Newcastle Werewolf. It was strange at first walking down the 'international' aisle in a large supermarket. Seeing all the beer choices made me feel like being back in England. I had the Apricot beer last night, I'll post it next. :-)

  4. Pumpkin ale, alone, is worthy of its own Blog reviews. You, seriously, Mister, should do a review of your beers. Pretty much anything to do with gastronomie and spirits would be cool, since you're an Adam Richman wannabe. Foodie!

  6. I have no idea why the picture is not showing. All I can see is a black box with a white exclamation mark.
